16 hours per week (average)

Our 'Gin Jolly' distillery tour has been awarded the 'Best Visitor Attraction' for Edinburgh, Lothians and the Borders by Visit Scotland and is consistently going from strength to strength. To keep up with the demand, especially at the weekend, we are now looking to add an additional tour guide to our talented and hugely motivated Visitor Experience Team.

We have proven over the last five years that nothing is impossible; We are looking for someone that embodies this mentality with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and the hunger to prove themselves in an exciting and dynamic industry.

This role focuses on welcoming guests to the distillery at the weekend and delivering engaging and interesting tours as part of our busy tours programme. Confidence is key as public speaking is a must and the candidate must be personable, with the charisma and personality to command and guide the group.

As well as conducting our Gin Jolly distillery tour, the role also includes, but is not limited to;

  • Conducting retail sales and cash handling in our distillery shop.
  • Supporting the Visitor Experience Team and the wider Summerhall Distillery team.
  • Hosting events at the distillery.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Hands on work in the distillery.

Flexible work is a must - early evening and weekends will be required with this role. This role is a part-time role to conduct our Saturday and Sunday Gin Jolly tours with an average of 16 hours per week.

The candidate:

We are looking for someone who embodies a can-do attitude. You must be confident at speaking in front of groups of people, with a real passion for delivering excellent customer service. Your attitude should be that no task should be too big or too much trouble and you should derive genuine satisfaction from providing an outstanding and memorable experience to all our visitors. We need someone who is passionate and determined to provide a 5-star experience in our award-winning venue.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to work in an exciting industry for one of the stand-out businesses in the sector.
